The Lady
Justice? If this is your justice
Heavens help the lady then.
For you have defiled her temples
Destroyed her alters with the blood of innocents
Justice has become null and void
There is your word and nothing else
The blind lady who watched over us all
You have placed within a gilded cage
And her balance you broke in two
You have taken her sword and attempted to wield it
But as we all know it will not answer to you
And the lady waits within her cage, a smile on her lips
For the cries of the innocent have been heard
As they stream past weakening the bars of her cage
Her face hungry and her hands clenched
They long to wield her sword once more.
But, she is serene and waits
For the cry of the innocent to become strong.
Then, it will shatter the cage of gilded bars
And from your side her sword shall leap
to once more guide her hand
